Matt

Welcome Matt Owen!  The Board is excited to announce that Matt Owen has been named the new Executive Director of the Chamber effective February 2024. Matt brings 23 years of leadership experience with membership driven organizations that includes chambers of commerce as well as an Ohio Main Street organization. He has extensive experience in business & economic development, program development, marketing, fundraising, event planning as well as public relations.  

Matt cut his teeth at the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and has since gone on to lead the Tipp City, Preble County, Fairborn and Anderson Chambers. He has served on several regional and statewide boards including the Miami Valley Military Affairs Association (WPAFB), the Southern Ohio Chamber Alliance (SOCA) and the Anthem/SOCA Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangement (MEWA) Board to name a few.  During his career he has helped launch two leadership programs as well as a young professional program. He has overseen several large events including the Tipp City Business Expo, the Preble County Business Expo and The Fairborn Halloween Festival to name a few.

Matt is a Navy veteran and a select soccer coach. He and his wife Christa have three boys.   They enjoy sporting events, hiking, fishing, and road trips.    

With these positive changes, The Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is confident 2024 will be the most productive and successful year to date.

Congratulations Janis Baker!  The Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce the promotion of Janis Baker to the role of Operations Director. Janis joined the Chamber mid-year in 2023 and brought a new level of organization, communication, and leadership skills to our Team.  Her background includes many years at GE in various capacities including client services, quality control leadership, sales leadership, operations, and executive level administration.  Her leadership of our community’s largest event, the Annual Horse Drawn Carriage Parade, among many other endeavors last year proved instrumental to our 2023 successes.
