Lebanon Library’s New Safety Town Ribbon Cutting

Saturday is a special day at the Lebanon Public Library! Not only is it the all-day kickoff for the popular Summer Reading Program, but it is also public introduction to the Library’s new Safety Town, a program that uses a 45’ x 60’ “roadmap” tarp with traffic signs, familiar Lebanon buildings, and cool ride-on cars to teach young children how to stay safe in and outside of the home. It can also provide opportunities to meet “neighborhood helpers” like police officers and firefighters.
While Saturday’s Safety Town is just a “look/see”, expect to see it set up at festivals, schools, parks, and playgrounds – wherever the Library is invited.
This project is 100% funded with a generous grant from the Joseph & Hilda Nienaber Fund of the Warren County Foundation.
The Library is located at 101 South Broadway, Lebanon, OH 45036.
