Sign up and compete in an 18 hole Disc Golf Tournament at the Countryside YMCA Outdoor Recreation Center Disc Golf Course on Saturday, May 16. Located on our beautiful Countryside YMCA Lebanon grounds, this popular sport will get you outside and moving, while enjoying some friendly competition. 2-man Scramble Format comes with a Goodie Bag and Prizes!
This tournament will be a 2-man scramble. Participants will pair up at the event and need to register individually. Every participant will receive a t-shirt, reusable scorecard and a disc upon registering. That’s a $35 retail value! Tournament team winners will receive a $50 prize package.
A 2-man scramble is one of the most popular tournaments for disc golf. Running 2 person teams, each player throws and the best out of the two counts for distance. They then start their second throw from the spot of the best throw. This continues until the play is completed at the pole hole basket. The goal is to have the lowest total throws for scoring, for the pair of players.
Fall and Spring Tournaments Make for Twice the Fun
Our tournaments are held in Fall and Spring, weather permitting. The tournament may be cancelled if the weather is bad, and participants will be contacted ahead of time. Being outdoors for the entirety of the event, we will be following standard COVID practices for vigorous activity.
Masks must be worn if entering and exiting the YMCA building, and while in the hallways. Outdoor activities do not require masks, but we ask for participants to maintain social distancing when possible and to use their own equipment. Hand sanitizing stations will be available and placed out on the disc golf course for use by participants and spectators. Please do a health self-check before coming to the YMCA and follow our guideline for participation if you are feeling ill.
Play Disc Golf at the Y
Our course, located on the Outdoor Recreational Area of our Lebanon location, is a short, recreational course with nine Disc Pole Holes. Disc Golf is played like traditional "ball" golf, but with flying discs instead of balls and clubs. One point (stroke) is counted each time the disc is thrown and when a penalty is incurred. The goal is to play each hole in the fewest strokes (throws) possible. The player with the lowest total strokes (throws) for the entire course wins. Our course accommodates the beginner to the advanced player. Maps, score cards, and loaner discs are available inside the facility.
