Atrium Medical Center, Comprehensive Dermatology Offer Free Skin Cancer Screenings May 12
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (May 5, 2021) – In recognition of Skin Cancer Awareness Month, Atrium Medical Center and Comprehensive Dermatology will host free skin cancer screenings on Wednesday, May 12, from 8 a.m. to noon at 210 N. Breiel Blvd. in Middletown.
Jennifer Ridge, MD, board-certified dermatologist, will perform these screenings. A skin cancer screening takes approximately five minutes and involves a head-to-toe skin assessment. A health professional looks for suspicious areas, such as discolored or misshapen moles. People with possible skin cancer or precancerous conditions will be referred either to their family physician or to a dermatologist for further tests.
Skin cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the United States. The best defense against this disease is to find it and treat it early.
Registration is required. Call (866) 608-3463 to make an appointment.
