Leadership is committed to hiring local. Holds EXPERIENCE DAYS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Southwest OHIO

JBM, of Southwest OHIO, will spend the mornings of November 2 and November 3, 2017 with a diverse group of area high school students. These events are called Experience Days as they replicate the JBM workplace experience. This is held in collaboration with United Way of Warren County. JBM is determined to create employment career opportunities for students who have chosen to not take a college track and are prepared to enter the workforce upon graduation.

Upon close analysis of our business and the marketplace, we have determined that when young people embrace a career path with us they not only do well professionally, but are able to maintain steady employment. They are model and committed team members. We are an enduring family owned enterprise and offer a positive and productive work environment,” Dan Puthoff, Chief Operating Officer (COO), said.

JBM is a tremendous asset to our county. We are proud to work with them on this initiative to ensure our emerging workforce is aware of and ready to meet the needs of Warren County businesses. Developing this young talent pool helps the company fill open jobs and empowers residents who are new to the workforce to become net positive contributors to the local economy.”  Aaron Reid, President & CEO, United Way of Warren County, said.

JBM Packaging, a prominent Southwest Ohio privately held company has distinguished themselves as a leader in packaging industry. The family-owned business, JBM Envelope was started in 1985 by Greg Sheanshang. JBM started out as an envelope brokerage business, in a small office, with just three team members. The company, from the beginning, was focused on developing a culture of quality, innovation and excellence—with a “family” feel. In fact, Mr. Sheanshang named the company after his three children: Jennifer, Bridget and Marcus. Although Mr. Sheanshang still retains a premium parking place, he has retired from daily operations.

Today JBM operates in a 100,000 square foot facility. Many of the team members who helped the business grow continue to work there, where employees number over 150.

The company is now run by Marcus Sheanshang and is JBM Packaging.

Under Marcus’s leadership, JBM has continuously invested in new technologies, developed additional capabilities and diversified product offerings. The company currently manufactures a number of different packaging products.

Backed by the company name and trusted reputation, JBM Packaging is committed to industry-leading initiatives, including:

  • Continuous improvement.Engaged in this initiative, our employees are reducing waste and cycle times, while increasing quality and safety.
  • Our Innovation Team is dedicated to working together—solving customer problems and advancing product design.
  • Sustainability.Committed to the environment, the company is Rainforest Alliance Certified™ and certified by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative).
