Picture This…6th annual Holiday Sleigh Bell Contest To Benefit Bridge Riding for the Disabled

Picture This would like to invite you to participate in the Sixth Annual Holiday Sleigh Bell Contest. The event will coincide with the Lebanon Holiday Carriage Festival and will benefit Bridge Riding for the Disabled.

Each adult participant will be given a 6 1/2 inch sleigh bell to decorate, and children will receive a 4 1/2 inch sleigh bell. Paint a scene, a face, a design, a texture, you be the creator!
The decorated bells need to be returned by Nov. 28th in order to be displayed. During the week of Nov.30th come in and submit a vote for your favorite bell.

On Friday Dec 4th there will be on Open House Party from 6:30 to 9:30. Prizes will be awarded to the artists in many different categories. A silent auction will be held to buy your favorite bell and the proceeds will be donated to the Bridge Riding for the Disabled.

The high bidders will be notified on Sunday and the bells may be picked up after Dec.7th.
Anyone wishing to enter the Sleigh Bell Contest may pick up a bell at Picture This with a $10 deposit, which will be donated to Bridge Riding in your behalf.

Lebanon Carriage ParadeChamber

The Lebanon Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 21st annual Historic Christmas Festival and Horse Drawn Carriage Parade on Saturday, December 5, 2009.

The festival which includes street vendors, live entertainment, costume characters, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus and a trip to the North Pole kicks off at 10am. Festival will take place on Mulberry Streets and Broadway.

Free carriages rides available in front of the Golden from 2:30pm to 5:30pm.

The parade will start at the corner of Oakwood and Broadway. It will follow south (right) on Broadway to Main Street, where it will then go east (left) on Main Street to Cherry Street. It will follow north (left) on Cherry Street to Warren Street. It will go south (left) on Warren Street and back to Broadway and head back north (right) to the staging area.

Parade times are 1pm and 7pm.

Parking is available in lot on corner of Sycamore and E Main Street. Parking is also available at the New Freedom Church located at 15 E Warren Street and on street parking will be available in the neighborhoods surrounding the parade route except for on the closed streets listed below.

Handicap parking will be available in the Fifth Third Bank parking lot on the corner of Broadway and Warren St, cost is $5. Space is limited.

Pancake Brunch Hosted by Masonic LodgeCommunity

Lebanon Council #134 is hosting a pancake benefit brunch on December 5th, the morning of the Lebanon Carriage Parade. It is open to the public from 9am-1pm at the Lebanon Masonic Lodge across from the Golden Lamb. All proceeds benefit The Diabetic Kids Fund which enables needy children with juvenile diabetes to attend special educational diabetic camps in Ohio.

Cost: $5.
Santa will be making appearances between 11am-12:30pm
